How it works
Three steps between the wellsite and the invoice.
The paper version of this has five: fill it out in the truck, drive it to the office, transcribe it, chase the missing signature, then bill it a week later.
Capture in the field
The crew opens the job on their iPhone, logs hours, equipment, and materials, and snaps receipt photos for third-party charges. Works with zero cell service — the ticket submits itself when the truck gets back in range.
Approve at the office
The ticket lands on the dispatch board the moment it syncs. Review it, kick it back for revision, or approve it. Every status change is stamped, and photos and signatures are write-once from the second they're captured.
Price off your rate card
RigTab prices the approved ticket against your rate card — hourly and day rates, travel versus operating time, per diem, minimums, pass-through markup — and the finished invoice posts into QuickBooks the same day, matching how you bill today.

Every competitor hands crews a clipboard or a clunky web form. RigTab's field app is native iOS, built for gloves, glare, and no signal.
Built native, works at zero bars
A real iPhone app, not a web page in a wrapper. Drafts live on the phone; when the truck gets back in coverage the ticket submits itself and the crew gets a push that it landed.
Receipts that hold up
Third-party charges get a photo of the receipt, captured once and fingerprinted. When an operator disputes a line six weeks later, the receipt behind it hasn't moved.

Generic field-service software bills like a plumber: one visit, one rate. Oilfield environmental work doesn't. RigTab's rate engine was built against real published rate cards, edge cases first.
And the ticket underneath it holds up: status moves through an enforced approval workflow, and site photos and signatures are write-once and pinned by content hash. When an operator disputes an invoice, the ticket it came from hasn't moved.

RigTab is being built for environmental-services contractors in the Permian Basin, and we're taking on a small number of design partners while the invoicing engine gets shaped.
What we're asking for
5–10 example invoices per service line, each with the field ticket it came from. We specifically want the messy ones: multi-crew overtime splits, standby, materials markup, call-out minimums, AFE-coded lines. Redact whatever you like — customer names, totals — the line structure is what teaches the rate engine, and we'll sign an NDA if you want one.
